Covid-19 Policy
Masks are required by all patients and staff while inside Skin Life Medspa. Patients will remove masks for photographs and during injections around the nose and mouth. If you have a fever or are currently being treated with antibiotics for an infection please reschedule your appointment.

Please bring a list of your current medications and supplements you are taking. Please remove all make-up prior to your appointment.
Cancellation Policy
Appointments canceled in less than 24 hours are subject to a $25 fee. All missed appointments are subject to a $50 fee. If you have 3 missed appointments or canceled appointments you will be discharged from the practice.
Botox
What is botox?
Botox is a neuromodulator used to treat wrinkles by relaxing the muscle contraction under the skin.
What should I avoid prior to my botox appointment?
Please avoid motrin, aleve, aspirin, fish oil, and alcohol 48 hrs prior to botox treatment.
What should I do after my botox treatment?

Avoid strenuous exercise 2 days after treatment.

Avoid laying flat 4 hrs after treatment.

Do not massage or manipulate areas that were injected with botox.
When will I see results?
You can expect to see results within 3-5 days. Maximum results will be reached at 14 days.
How long does botox last?
Botox lasts 3-4 months
What areas are injected with botox?
Botox treats wrinkles on the forehead, between the brows (“11s”), lines around the eyes (crows feet), “gummy” smiles, “bunny” lines, massesters to slim the face, and platysmal bands.
When should I start botox injections?
You can prevent wrinkles by starting botox injections in your mid 20s.

What are dermal fillers?
Dermal fillers contain hyaluronic acid, a substance naturally produced by your body. Hyaluronic acid is the biggest drink of water your skin will take. This helps keep your skin hydrated and plump.

What should I avoid prior to getting dermal fillers?
Please avoid motrin, aleve, aspirin, fish oil, and alcohol 48 hrs prior to botox treatment.
What areas of the face are dermal fillers used?
Dermal fillers are used in the lips, cheeks, chin, smile lines, and marionette lines.
How long do dermal fillers last?
Depending on the filler you choose and your metabolism of hyaluronic acid, dermal fillers can last anywhere from 6-24 months.
Kybella
What is Kybella?
Kybella is FDA approved to treat submental fat (“double” chin) and jowls. Kybella is made of deoxycholic acid, a natural substance found in your digestive system to help destroy fat.
What should I avoid prior to my kybella treatment?
Please avoid motrin, aleve, aspirin, fish oil, and alcohol 48 hrs prior to botox treatment.
How many treatments of Kybella do I need before I see results?
You will need 3-4 treatments, 4-6 weeks apart for maximum results.
How long does Kybella last?
Kybella permanently destroys fat, results are long lasting.
Sclerotherapy
What is Sclerotherapy?
Sclerotherapy is a blend of solutions injected into spider veins that help collapse and diminish the vein.
How many Sclerotherapy treatments do I need?
Depending on the amount of spider veins. Most patients will require 3-4 treatments, 6 weeks apart.
What do I need to bring to my appointment?
We require you to bring compression stockings to your appointment. Stockings are available online or at your local pharmacy.
What are spider veins?
Spider veins are small veins that appear on the surface of the skin. These are caused by pregnancy, poor circulation, and genetics.
Morpheus 8
What is Morpheus 8?

Morpheus 8 is everything!

Morpheus 8 is a FDA approved radiofrequency microneedling device that uses energy waves to heat the deep layers of the skin causing collagen production.

This device is able to reach a depth of 4mm where other microneedling devices reach a max of 2mm.

What is the recovery time after receiving a Morpheus 8 treatment?

PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma)
What is PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma)?
PRP is a preparation of platelets in concentrated blood plasma that contains growth factors used to stimulate skin healing, collagen, and elastin production. PRP is obtained by extracting a small amount of blood from a vein in your arm. The blood is spun down to isolate the PRP. The PRP is used in the face, neck, hands, and scalp for hair restoration.

What is PRP used for?
PRP improves acne scars, stretch marks, fine lines/wrinkles, under eye darkness, and hair restoration.
How many PRP treatments do I need?
We recommend 3 treatments, 4-6 weeks apart for optimal results.
Microblading
Who is a candidate for microblading?
People who have gaps or patches in their eyebrows and would like a fuller eyebrow arch.
How long does the microblading procedure take?
Approximately two hours.
Does microblading hurt?
Depending on the individual’s tolerance to pain, most people report feeling only minor discomfort and pressure.
Do I need to be numbed?
Yes, numbing cream is applied to the eyebrow area prior to starting. However, minor discomfort should be expected.
How long does microblading last?
Approximately 2-3 years
Do I need a follow up visit after microblading?
Yes, we recommend a follow up appointment 6-8 weeks later.
What should I avoid before my microblading appointment?

Avoid caffeine or alcohol on the day of the procedure.

Avoid taking ibuprofen, motrin, aleve, aspirin 24-48 hrs before procedure.

Avoid tanning or sunbathing 3-5 days before the procedure.

Do not pluck or wax your eyebrows 3-5 days prior to the procedure.

Avoid chemical peels, laser treatments, and other facial treatments 2-3 weeks prior to the procedure.

Stop the use of vitamin A (retinol) one month prior to your appointment.
What should I expect after the appointment?
You will feel itchy and mild tenderness post-treatment.
